Moin Azmi is a Director of Azmi-Rana Solicitors and specialises in Civil Litigation, Public Law, Human Rights and Private Client work.
He has been involved in and has won prominent cases such as Krystyna Masoso –v- Secretary of State; Gul Jan Kamal Zai –v- Secretary of State; Samkange –v- Secretary of State [2003]; Employees of Shere Khan (chain of restaurants) –v- Secretary of State [2008];
He holds key positions and has been involved in advising numerous prominent figures and organisations both in the UK and internationally. He has also participated in advising the Home Secretary appointee, Lutfur Ali on the Judicial Inquiry into the murder of Zahid Mubarek - battered to death by his racist cellmate at Feltham prison.
Moin has contributed towards a number of articles and actively assists in research projects. He is a Solicitor Advocate and a member of the Solicitors Association of Higher Court Advocates (SACHA), Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA); holds a BA (Hons) in Public Policy & Administration, CPE and was called to the Bar in November 2000 at Lincoln’s Inn.

Sufiyan Rana is a Director of Azmi-Rana Solicitors who practices as a Solicitor Advocate and specialises in Litigation and Personal Injury.
He graduated with a Law degree from Manchester Metropolitan University before undertaking the Bar Vocational Course at the College of Law, London. He was called to the Bar in November 1999 at Lincoln’s inn. He undertook pupillage at 2 Middle Temple Lane chambers, London, before qualifying as a Solicitor in January 2002. He went on to obtain Higher Rights of Audience for both Civil and Criminal proceedings in February 2004.
Sufiyan has over 10 years' experience of acting for claimants, with experience in road traffic accident work, and public and occupiers liability cases. Whilst he still keeps a keen and active interest in road traffic accidents and claims for credit hire, his practice now consists of acting for victims of accidents resulting in serious spinal cord injury, brain injury, amputation, multiple and complex fractures and fatal injury. He has contested many hearings including fast track trials, small track trials, disposals, pre-issue disclosure, joinder, set aside judgment, strike out, and summary judgment.
He is an accredited member of Law Society Personal Injury Panel, the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and the Solicitors Association of Higher Courts Advocates (SAHCA). From 2000-2004, he was a part time lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University teaching Public and Constitutional Law, Civil Liberties and Human Rights Law.
He is also an LEA governor of Plant Hill Community School, North Manchester and sits on its pupil discipline committee and has also been Chairman of the Public Voice on Policing for North Manchester.
He enjoys reading, football and travelling.
